SINGAPORE, 21 April 2025: Air France will introduce flights between Paris and Phuket during the 2025-2026 winter season starting November 2025. It follows the launch of direct flights between Paris and Manila in the Philippines, which was introduced in the winter schedule for 2024/2025.

Air China is making a significant return to the Canadian market by reintroducing direct flights between Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) on May 20, 2025, after a Thirty-Three-year hiatus. This marks the airline’s first direct service on this key transpacific route in over three decades, offering travelers more options for seamless travel between China and Canada. Operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays with a Boeing 777-300ER, Air China’s reentry into the Beijing–Toronto route not only strengthens its global network but also intensifies competition with Hainan Airlines, which launched its own nonstop service in November 2024. With this move, Air China is positioning itself to cater to the growing demand for transpacific travel while enhancing the overall connectivity between the two countries.
